Ramadan & consequently Eid is celebrated with much enthusiasm in this African country. The shops are open for the duration of the entire night after Iftar. Even hotels and restaurants host several Ramadan events drawing a lot of tourists. Break your fast at any one of the many Halal restaurants serving delicious food during Ramadan. Eid is locally known as ‘Korite’ celebrated with new clothes, and grilled meat. Locals meet each other in the evenings and exchange greetings and goodies.

In Morocco, the time to break Iftar is marked by cannon sounds. There are various markets full of Ramadan food items, and even mosques serve Iftar meals after prayers. Eid celebrations begin early with congregational prayers, preparation of Moroccan cookies and pastries, and a number of other dishes like lamb or beef with prunes. Families gather to eat festive meals and exchange gifts.

You can savor Iftar buffets in magnificently decorated Ramadan tents playing traditional music and games. You can bring in Eid by praying at the Al Fateh Grand Mosque and enjoy feasts including ghoozi, makhbous, and sweets like khanfroosh, halwa, and rehash.

Almost all of the restaurants and cafés are adorned with festive decorations. Ramadan tents can be found everywhere with entertainment, music, and food celebrating the Holy month of Ramadan. Jordanians celebrate Eid with their dish named Mansaf which has chicken cooked in yogurt and served on a heap of rice. The streets and shops are all decorated adding to the festive spirit.

UAE is one of the best destinations to travel to for Ramadan. Majlis-style tents serving traditional Arab meals and drinks make for a beautiful Ramadan experience. UAE celebrates Eid pompously and comes alive during this period. Exciting activities, traditional dance performances, special shows in the public places, and more, you will be spoilt for choice when in UAE for an Eid getaway!

Malls and shopping complexes brim with Ramadan promotions and offers. You can go for Iftar in any of the hotels or restaurants serving Ramadan meals. Oman celebrates Eid with great fervor and you can experience unique dishes in every district. From prayers to traditional gift exchanges, dances, and festive feasts you will get to see and taste it all.

The cities are illuminated with colorful lights, and Ramadan food is served in restaurants and mosques. However, expect a lot of crowd in both mosques and restaurants. Eid celebrations in Bangladesh begin like most places a week before with festive purchases and feast preparations. On Eid, decked in festive clothing people indulge in traditions, festive dishes like firni, khir, and payes and bring the atmosphere alive.

Several cultural programs and festivities are held in different parts of the cities. You will find special Ramadan food everywhere. Eid is celebrated with prayers and baklawas! The locals celebrate by decorating the streets and houses with lights and festoons. Tunisia wears a festive spirit which makes it a worthwhile Eid getaway!

Ramadan is the best time to visit the Maldives as Ramadan meals served in resorts and restaurants for Iftar have a homemade flair. The islanders come together to celebrate Eid by hosting cultural events, feasts, and congregational prayers. Maldivians also have a unique tradition of playing with small packets of water & colored oil. So take part in this fun game and make your Eid memorable.

In Turkey, drummers go around towns and cities to wake people up for Suhur. Food festivals, bazaars, restaurants –everywhere you will get a special Iftar menu to break your fast. Illuminated mosques make the festive atmosphere even more beautiful. In Turkey, Eid or Ramadan Bayrami in Turkey is usually celebrated for 3 days. The first day is called Sekar Bayrami or Candy festival, where the children are given sweets. Other traditions include greeting loved ones, dressing up in festive clothes, and eating something sweet. Also, when in Turkey, respond to Eid Mubarakh and ‘Khair Mubarakh.’
