As National Day weekend & year-end holidays are approaching fast, the UAE authorities are reminding residents to adhere to the latest Covid-19 restrictions. The National Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has shared key guidelines for the holiday season ahead.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation in UAE has announced a three-day paid holiday for all private sector establishments, institutions, and entities, from December 1 until December 3. With Dec 4th and 5th being weekend, UAE residents would be getting a 5 day long weekend to celebrate.

Celebrate a safe UAE National Day weekend with planned staycations and road trips. Stay away from crowded events.

Seeds of Union

‘Seeds of the Union’ is a live production to celebrate the UAE’s 49th National Day. It would air on TV on Wednesday, December 2. The stunning show, which is staged in Abu Dhabi, will take the form of a moving sculpture surrounded by sea and illuminated by digital visuals portraying themes inspired by the UAE’s rich history and strong values. 

Khalfan Al Mazrouei, member of the organizing committee of the Official 49th UAE National Day Celebration said: “The COVID-19 pandemic required us to approach the official 49th UAE National Day celebrations in a new and ambitious way – one that uses digital visual technology to inspire an audience watching from home.”

Dubai Festival City Mall is having a special Arabic-themed IMAGINE show & two brilliant firework displays. For the first time ever, selected waterside restaurants will also be offering seats directly on the bay.

However, if you want to catch the world record-breaking IMAGINE show and fireworks, you’ll need to pre-book your spot, with two seating options available: 7 pm until 9.15 pm with the fireworks at 9 pm and 9.30 pm until 11.30 pm with the fireworks at 11 pm.
